PrEPster launched in October 2015, PrEPster seeks to educate and agitate for PrEP access in England and beyond.
WeRageOn - A health activist’s knowledge bank, charting HIV advocacy and activism from the early 1990s to the present to inform, support and inspire new generations of health activists. WeRageOn is a collaborative partnership with Gabi Kent Consultancy.
History
Established in March 2018, The Love Tank developed from the work of PrEPster – a grass-roots community initiative that educates + agitates for PrEP access in England + beyond. PrEPster is now a project of The Love Tank.
Our team
The Love Tank is run by a small London-based team with a unique mix of community advocacy, public health, health promotion and equalities expertise.
Dr Will Nutland
Dr Will Nutland established The Love Tank in March 2018, having been one of the original founders of PrEPster. He has a doctorate in public health, from the London School of Hygiene + Tropical Medicine where he is an Honorary Assistant Professor, teaching in health promotion, and in applied communicable disease control.
Will has been a health promoter for over 25 years, having founded a number of grass-roots organisations, as well as working for a local authority public health department. He has undertaken research + capacity building work across the UK and the rest of Europe, as well as in southern Africa, the Middle East and eastern Europe. Will is a Director of The Love Tank.
Marc Thompson
Marc Thompson established The Love Tank in March 2018, having been one of the original founders of PrEPster. He has a rich history of community organizing and engagement, co-founding Big Up in the late 1990s to respond to the sexual health needs of Black queer men.
Marc lead Positively UK’s peer mentor programme until June 2018, and he is now Strategic Programme Lead for Health Improvement at the UK’s Terrence Higgins Trust. Marc is the co-founder of BlackOut UK and a Director of The Love Tank.
Funding
The Love Tank acknowledges the generous and on-going support of Elton John Aids Foundation for core funding and project grants for PrEPster. MAC Aids Fund has provided project grants to PrEPster and for development of the WeRageOn website. In 2017/18 Public Health England funded PrEPster’s PrEP Champs project through its HIV Innovation Fund: a collaboration with the GMI partnership.
The Love Tank generates income for project costs by providing training, capacity building and consultancy. Contact hello@thelovetank.info for further information.

The Love Tank will not accept donations or grants directly from pharmaceutical companies, nor companies involved in the sale or manufacture of weapons or armaments.
