New multilingual HIV PrEP info launches

New information resources about HIV PrEP are available in multiple languages thanks to a unique collaboration between The Love Tank and a top London university.

The materials are produced as part of a continuing collaboration between The Love Tank and London Met University, with translation students using The Love Tank's written materials as real-world translation case studies.

Availability of HIV PrEP in the UK on the NHS has had a profound impact on the incidence of HIV but huge inequalities to accessing PrEP remain. Ensuring information about PrEP is available in different languages is one step in addressing PrEP inequity.

Dr Will Nutland, Director of The Love Tank says: "Each year students at London Met get to learn about aspects of sexual health that they might not otherwise know about. In return, The Love Tank - and the folks we work alongside - get to access quality translations of our sexual health information".

Dr Piero Toto, Senior Lecturer in Translation at London Met says: "Collaborating with The Love Tank is always such a privilege, as we contribute to promote their important work in sexual health. My students love seeing how translation can really make a difference and how impactful it can be when it reaches the wider community.”

Downloadable versions are available in Arabic, English, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish from prepster.info/resources/
