Celebrating Identity: The Love Tank and Queer Britain Showcase Queer Migrant Men's Voices

The Love Tank's MAUREEN programme today launches a collaboration with Queer Britain on a groundbreaking community residency - We Are Queer Migrant Men+. The initiative provides a platform for queer migrant men to explore and express their identities, histories, and communities through creative activities.

Robert Kocur, MAUREEN programme coordinator at The Love Tank says: "Over recent months, participants have engaged in hybrid sessions at Queer Britain, using art as a medium to delve into the multifaceted aspects of their lives. These sessions have fostered a supportive environment where individuals can share their stories, celebrate their diversity, and connect with others who share similar experiences."

Robert continued: "As we near the culmination of our We Are Queer Migrant Men+ residency, participants are excited to present a collective work that encapsulates their journey over the past three months. This shared work is a testament to their resilience, creativity, and the vibrant community they have built together."

The work is on display in the Queer Britain galleries until Sunday, 8th September 2024.
